The words don't escape me

Thu May 14, 2009, 6:50 PM
I've been all active on the literary front. I'm published which is awesome, but I don't think it's a big deal since I am also one of the editrices of said publication. It is called The Toucan and I'm proud as punch to be a part of it. If anyone wants to take a gander at a whole bunch of fab prose and poetry, go here [link] More importantly, if you want to SUBMIT some writing you should go there as well. We'll consider anything and are generally pretty lax about everything. So the moral is "check out The Toucan, it's pretty groovy."

I've been doodling otherwise, nothing worth posting. I have a few sketches to match the poetry and other odds and ends if anyone is interested.

Just checking in

Sun Feb 15, 2009, 11:06 AM
I think it's time I made a new entry seeing as the other one was from November. I haven't been working too much on my drawings but I've written a respectable amount for the comic that I know everyone doesn't believe exists. You will have to trust me and take my word that I've written up to the antagonists, which is pretty exciting if you knew who he/she/it/they was/were. I think I'm gonna scrap Stranger Things cause I don't like anything about it except some of the dialogue. We shall see.

Otherwise, everything's been pretty groovy on this side of the screen. Let's hope this starts a posting trend.

Batman rode the Blue Line

Sun Nov 2, 2008, 7:17 PM
Halloween was amazing as expected. The day started nice, got to sleep in, and only proceded to get better. I knew it would be amazing when Batman got on the Blue Line. Full costume and billowy cape and decided to sit in the seat behind me. Needless to say I was geeking out and felt unbelieveably safe. That freaking made my day. Class was good, we didn't have homework and got out early. I went home and put on my amazing costume. It consisted of huge horns, a torn skirt, suede top, and strands of leaves. I'll post a pic asap. I hung out with two amazing friends that drove me to trick-or-treating. I was SO not planning on going up and down all those stairs but I was convinced. I'm glad I did, I even got invited into some stranger's home. Only on Halloween I tell ya!

My luck streak continued through today. I found 3 Beatle albums, each for $1. I also found one of the Doctor Who comic books for $3. I'm a happy camper. I just hope my luck continues.

Now here is the important part. School is hectic and I haven't been drawing. Trust me, I'm not happy about it. Besides, my scanner doesn't work with my computer. I've yet to find out how. So even if I was drawing I could't get it here. I did get PS so if I manage any skill with that I'll post but till then, I'm stuck.
Anyway, thats about it for now. Hope everyone's Halloween was grand.

I've been missing because...

Mon Sep 22, 2008, 9:10 PM
I'm a college kid these days and that means there's stuff to do. There's nothing like being an art kid in the middle of the city. I see a minimum of 3 kids a day with mohawks and and endless supply of fantastic character costume ideas. There is also a record store within walking distance and a Halloween store that is opening up for the season. Halloween is one of my favourite times of year. The only problem is that in the past few years there is a severe lack of zombies. I hope this year is much better. I may be posting but not till my scanner Gwenivive decides to start working again. Till then.

I've been busy NOT ART-ING! it's a serious waste of time not drawing but alas, i can't change the past. i've written 15 solid pages of dialogue for the comic that we've been talking about for months now.BUT THATS NOT THE EXCITING NEWS!

I was at my favourite haunt, Half-Price Books. I was sifting through their albums and i hit the motherload! I got Abbey Road, Revolver, and Rarities by The Beatles, Mind Games by John Lennon and The Best of George Harrison. I would have been on the floor if they had Magical Mystery Tour or The White Album. This is a big deal believe me.

I also recently got In Search of the Lost Chord by The Moody Blues for $2. Joy is the understatement of the year.

oh and i'm also knitting the famous Doctor Who scarf that Tom Baker wore in the 12 season of the show.i know he always wore one but this is the one specifically from that season. i'm stoked for its completion. I'm almost 9 inches finished ^.^
